For me. I want financial freedom. I grew up relatively poor and my mother’s family was very…very poor. We were homeless sophomore year of high school, and I could barely pay my way through college. Now I’m in a stupid amount of debt.
I’m the oldest of 7 and have always tried to be a good example. I make more than I ever have, and more than anyone in my family’s ever made at 28, but I really just want to give them a break. I want to pay off my grandmother’s house, my father’s house, and all the family’s debts. My mother’s worked herself straight into the ER multiple times, and I want to tell her one day that she doesn’t have to work anymore. I want to be able to pay for my youngest sister’s college.
I have faith in the coin. I want to get out of my 9-5 and continue learning about finances and maybe educate other people of color on financial literacy and the wonders (and dangers) of trading stocks and crypto one day. Who better to educate than someone who’s already made it there?
What motivates you, peeps?
