Back in 2014, Dogecoin and the Reddit community managed to sponsor a NASCAR Cup series car. The driver wasn’t anyone notable… but the race was at Talladega, a track known for leveling the playing field and giving smaller teams a shot at success.
I remember the FOX broadcast booth pointing out Josh Wise’s #98 Dogecoin/Reddit paint scheme several times throughout the race. Lionel produced diecast models of the car. Basically, it got a lot of eyes on crypto and Dogecoin specifically. Good exposure.
Why can’t we recreate this in 2022, with SHIB and its ecosystem represented instead? Cryptocurrency sponsorships aren’t new to NASCAR and they have picked up a lot of steam in the last couple years. Imagine having #SHIBArmy plastered all over a stock car traveling over 180 mph. Whether you’re into motorsports or not, it’s a cool idea.
Not sure how we could get the ball rolling however. This would have to be a community effort. Who do we need to assist in arranging something like this? How much would it cost exactly? Input appreciated.
