How many people saying that they’re doing this actually know what it means, versus just using it as another way to say “buying the dip”? Are you actually tracking your costs over time and have an exit strategy, or are you just trying to feel better about doubling down on an investment you’re not sure about anymore?
Asking because if you’re just trying to make yourself feel better about possibly losing money, just sell and move on. Don’t throw food money after bad. Don’t listen to the “paper hands” bozos. Be smart with your money. This is not a relationship, it’s an asset.
